Job Description

The Plant Supervisor will oversee the daily operations of the briquette manufacturing plant, ensuring smooth production processes, quality control, workforce management, and adherence to safety and environmental standards. The role requires hands-on experience in managing production machinery, optimizing processes, and achieving production targets.

Role & responsibilities

  • Production Management:
  • Supervise and coordinate day-to-day operations of the briquette manufacturing plant.
  • Monitor production schedules and ensure timely achievement of daily and monthly targets.
  • Oversee raw material handling (biomass, binders, additives) and maintain stock levels.
  • Quality Control:
  • Ensure briquettes meet required quality standards (density, moisture, size).
  • Conduct routine quality checks and troubleshoot process issues.
  • Team Supervision:
  • Manage and train plant operators, helpers, and other staff for efficient operations.
  • Assign tasks and monitor performance to maintain high productivity.
  • Maintenance & Equipment Handling:
  • Oversee operation and maintenance of briquetting machines, dryers, and other equipment.
  • Coordinate preventive maintenance and minimize downtime.
  • Health, Safety & Compliance:
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and environmental regulations.
  • Implement safety protocols to prevent accidents and hazards.
  • Reporting & Documentation:
  • Maintain production reports, machine logs, and material usage records.
  • Report operational issues and suggest process improvements to the Plant Manager.

Preferred candidate profile

  • Education: Diploma / B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years in manufacturing operations (briquette, biomass, or similar industry preferred).
  • Skills Required:
  • Knowledge of briquette manufacturing processes and equipment.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues.
  • Basic computer skills (MS Office, reporting tools).
  • Knowledge of safety and quality management systems.
