The Sales & Marketing Manager will be responsible for driving sales and developing new markets for coal and briquette products. The role includes identifying potential customers (industrial, commercial, and export), developing marketing strategies, managing client relationships, and achieving revenue targets. The candidate should have strong experience in fuel industry sales, B2B marketing, and knowledge of power generation, industrial boilers, and renewable energy sectors.
Role & responsibilities :
Sales & Business Development
- Identify and develop new business opportunities for coal and briquette products in domestic and export markets.
- Maintain strong relationships with power plants, steel industries, cement plants, biomass power producers, and industrial boilers.
- Generate leads through market research, networking, and industry events.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and payment terms with clients.
2. Marketing Strategy & Brand Development
- Plan and implement sales and marketing strategies to meet monthly and annual targets.
- Develop digital marketing campaigns, brochures, and presentations to promote coal and briquette products.
- Analyze competitor activities and market trends to adjust strategies.
3. Customer Relationship Management
- Ensure timely delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Resolve customer queries and provide technical guidance about product usage.
- Build long-term partnerships with key accounts.
4. Pricing & Revenue Management
- Prepare quotations, proposals, and pricing strategies considering market dynamics.
- Track sales performance and submit weekly/monthly reports to management.
5. Team Coordination & Reporting
- Coordinate with production, logistics, and finance teams for smooth order execution.
- Train and support junior sales executives or agents if applicable.
Preferred candidate profile:
- Education: Any graduate.
- Preferred: MBA / PGDM in Sales & Marketing or equivalent.
- Experience: 4-5 years in sales & marketing (preferably in coal, briquette, fuel, or energy sector).
- Industry Knowledge:
- Understanding of industrial fuel markets, renewable energy trends, and biomass applications.
- Knowledge of coal grades, calorific values, briquette types, and their uses.
- Skills Required:
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Ability to generate B2B leads and close high-value deals.
- Familiarity with digital marketing tools, CRM software, and MS Office.
- Willingness to travel for client meetings and market development.
