Job Description

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented accounts & finance professional to manage the overall financial operations of the organization. The ideal candidate should have strong exposure to accounting, taxation, financial planning, compliance, and MIS reporting, preferably within a real estate developer company. The role requires strategic financial oversight along with hands-on operational expertise.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Accounting & Reporting

  • Oversee end-to-end accounting operations and ensure accurate maintenance of books of accounts.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with applicable accounting standards.
  • Manage general ledger, reconciliations, journal entries, and closing activities.
  • Ensure timely preparation of MIS reports, cash flow statements, budgets, and financial analysis for management review.

Taxation & Compliance

  • Handle direct and indirect taxation matters including GST, TDS, Income Tax, and statutory compliances.
  • Coordinate with auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory authorities.
  • Ensure timely filing of returns and adherence to statutory deadlines.
  • Maintain compliance with all financial and legal regulations applicable to the business.

Real Estate Finance & Project Accounting

  • Manage project-wise accounting, revenue recognition, cost tracking, and profitability analysis.
  • Monitor project cash flows, vendor payments, contractor accounting, and customer receivables.
  • Ensure proper accounting of land acquisition, construction costs, RERA-related financial reporting, and project budgeting.
  • Coordinate with sales and CRM teams for customer collections and financial reconciliations.

Treasury & Banking

  • Manage banking relationships, fund planning, and working capital requirements.
  • Monitor cash flow and optimize utilization of financial resources.
  • Handle loan documentation, banking transactions, and financial arrangements.

Audit & Internal Controls

  • Lead statutory audits, internal audits, and tax audits.
  • Develop and strengthen internal financial controls and SOPs.
  • Identify financial risks and recommend corrective measures.

Team Management

  • Lead and mentor the accounts and finance team.
  • Ensure process efficiency, accuracy, and timely reporting across finance functions.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification is mandatory.
  • 5-6  years of relevant experience in Accounts & Finance.
  • Prior experience in a Real Estate Developer company will be highly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of GST, TDS, Income Tax, Companies Act, and financial reporting standards.
  • Hands-on experience with ERP/accounting software such as SAP, Tally, Oracle, or similar platforms.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment.
